Naked Eyes: “Always Something There to Remind Me”
Wow! It is so great to hear this again..I haven’t heard this in a million years…great post!
The Smiths: “Rubber Ring”
This song is interesting because it acknowledges the simultaneous strength and vulnerability of music. It has the power to save your life, to be the most meaningful emtional outlet, but Morrissey is begging, from inside the speakers, not to forget him as you grow up and move on.
The title “Rubber Ring” might refer to either a vinyl record or a life preserver that keeps you afloat, either of which would be appropriate.
Lovely post. and WOW! So lovely to see you back misterpeace…
Killing Joke: “Love Like Blood”
Brief nostalgia trip…(probably)

Marilyn Roxie - “Zug der Krautrock”
Hey, you guys get to hear my new (and first!) single “Zug der Krautrock” before it comes out and is available anywhere else! It is a tribute to krautrock greats like Can and Faust. Hope you enjoy it (reblog if you dig it, spread the word!) :)

This is a great song, and a brilliant record. All of Midnight Oil’s stuff is fantastic. And they did speak about a lot of issues that needed to be spoken about. It’s unfortunate, how the situation of Peter Garrett, in particular has changed. I feel as though the poor bastard’s hands are constantly tied…
Madness: “One Step Beyond”
this song is another flashback to going to clubs here in the 80’s, with all the punks, skins and rudeboys…and of course the goths and swampies…my my…good times indeed…excellent track choice butterfly…x
